Here the Calcite II is moored
for repairs during Winter lay-up on February 3, 2001.
She
is seen with the Myron C.
Taylor and the George
A. Sloan to the right in the Sarnia, Ontario
commercial harbor. All three of these vessels are a treat to see
with their nostalgic "Laker" style. The Calcite
II and
the Myron
C. Taylor are two of the oldest, true
"Lakers" still operating on the Great Lakes. Both
vessels were built in 1929. Two of the above photo's show the
old style life boat and davit's along with the
"classic" aft cabin area.
