The
Oakglen originally operated under the name
T. R. McLagan from
1954 through 1990.
This
series of photographs were taken on July 25, 2000 as we
traveled the St. Mary's River. Our travels had us cross paths
with the Oakglen many times throughout the day.
The
upper (2) photographs show the Oakglen traveling through the
West Neebish Channel, a down-bound portion of the St.
Mary's River between Nebish Island and Michigan's upper
peninsula. This is down river from the Soo Lock's.
Here
the Oakglen is traveling down-bound at the head of the St.
Mary's River approaching the Soo Locks with Ontario in the
background.
The
Oaklen is entering the Mac Arthur Lock in Sault St. Marie, MI.
and seen again as she prepares to exit.
