Access : Car, with a walk down the breakwater. From US-2 take Moccasin Mike Rd. North. About 1.4 miles down turn West on the next street, Wisconsin Point. You can park here and watch the freighter traffic in Superior Bay.

History : Superior, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota share the same waters of Superior Bay which is one of the main ports for the loading of Iron Ore. Superior Bay is blocked off by the worlds largest fresh water sand bar, which runs East and West along the North end of the bay from Duluth, MN to the Superior, WI. Ships enter Superior Bay using the Lighthouses marking one of two channels, Duluth Harbor entrance and the Port of Superior entrance.
