Access : Car, Parking near the Light. Take M-72 to M-37, follow this about 17 miles to the Light. 

History of the Light : Over looking Grand Traverse Bay, located at the tip of Mission Point. This light would guide ships around the peninsula into the West and East arms of Traverse Bay. In 1933 the state de-activated her, now the township owns and maintains the sight. The light is closed to the public, but the grounds are not.
