Access : Car, with parking near the Light. The pier head lights can also be reached from here with a short walk. Off US-35 take US-12, follow Pine St. to Washington Park which will take you to the lights.

History of the Light :  This light is the original light that served Michigan City from the mid 19th century. Since then it was replace by  the pier head lights in 1904 and was abandon. In 1973 the old lighthouse was restored to its original condition and now serves as a museum.
