Access : Car, and short walk down the breakwater.

Directions : From Hwy 42 (Milwaukee Ave.) Turn East on Ellis St., the Light is only 1/4 mile down with parking near the breakwater.

History of the Light : This Light is nearly the same as "Big Red" in Holland Michigan, and still has the original Fifth Order Lens. She stands on the South breakwater guiding ships into the Kewaunee River.

The light station was first established in 1889. In 1931 the lighthouse was partially reconstructed with the light tower now an integral part of the keeper's quarters. The new square tower is marked white with red trim. The lighthouse standing today was first lit in 1931and still operates as an active aid to navigation.
