Goderich

Goderich, ONT

Built :  1847

Construction :  Square, Masonry

Status : Active

Location : Goderich, Ontario

Height : 35 feet

Access : Car, parking near the Light. Also parking near the beach, with a trail leading up to the Light. Trail is a few hundred feet long and steep, but is worth the hike. From Hwy 21, once your in Goderich, exit Kingston. You will come to a roundabout with lots of shops and restaurants. Follow it around to West Street, which will take you to the Light.

Lighthouse History : This Light is located on a bluff that over looks Lake Huron and the Harbor of Goderich, a spectacular view. Its a short Lighthouse, but standing atop the buff, you can see why height wasn't important. This was one of the first Lights built on Lake Huron in Canada.
