Lake Michigan
Of
the five Great Lakes, Lake Michigan is the third largest. This
lake is connected to Lake Huron at the North end by the
Straits of Mackinac. There are also navigable man-made water
diversions at the South end near Chicago. These diversions
connect Lake Michigan with the Des Plaines, Illinois and
finally the Mississippi rivers.
