This island is located on the Eastern side of Lake St. Clair at the tail end of the the South Channel. Originally this was just a shallow area in Lake St. Clair. In the late 1800's this island was created from dredging material pulled out of the nearby St Clair Flats Canal. It is now one of the most popular summertime destinations in the Lake St. Clair area for recreational boaters.
