The Clinton River is located on the Eastern side of Lake St. Clair at the entrance to Anchor Bay. With many marina's and restaurants located on it, it can be very busy during the summer months.

The entrance is marked with buoy's and lights. Just inside the river entrance is the headquarters of the Macomb County Sheriff's Marine Division. There is also a public access launch ramp facility accessible from South River road.
