St. Joseph Harbor is sponsored by the Michigan State Waterways Commission and located near the entrance to the St. Joseph River.

Founded in 1675 and incorporated as a village in1834, St. Joseph was once the center of Steamboat navigation for lake Michigan. It has since become known for it's non-citrus fruit production. Many wineries, museums and shops make this a great place to stop when traveling the shoreline.
